The Duck Inn, which dates from the early 18th century, is a classic of its kind, with great period character and a tremendous ambience.

Located at Newney Green, near Writtle in Essex, the Duck Inn nestles in quiet, glorious countryside, yet is only a few minutes drive from Chelmsford, the county town.

The Duck Inn is decorated in a traditional country style, with oak tables and country chairs, exposed beams, and a huge feature brick fireplace that links the two bars. Outside there are more delights in the shape of a garden with lawns, a play area for children and a fish pond with ornamental carp.
